Administrative Assistant
1.
Assists with phones, email, online registration system,
accounts payable, and other office support roles. Position is for 25
hours per week, which must include being at our office (downtown
Seattle) Monday through Friday 10 – 2:30, plus an additional 2.5
hours per week, scheduled at your convenience. Payrate is $14 per

Breastfeeding Instructor
Qualifications: IBCLC is strongly preferred. Will also consider
individuals who have taken Professional Education in Breastfeeding
and Lactation (or similar 6 day training) and have experience in
assisting women with nursing, and/or with teaching breastfeeding
classes.
We need someone to teach
approximately 15 times per year. Classes are held weeknight evenings
from 7 - 9 pm, and Saturday mornings from 9:30 - 11:30 am in several
locations - Edmonds, Northgate, Eastlake, Capital Hill, Burien, and
Redmond.
Wages: $18 - 28 per hour, based on experience. (Set-up and
clean-up time paid at half that rate)
Certified Childbirth Educator
Qualifications:

Certification as a childbirth educator is required. (Great Starts, Birth
Education NW, Lamaze and ICEA are best. CAPPA, Hypnobirthing,
and Birthing from Within are also accepted, dependent on teaching
experience.)

Experience with birthing women essential: as a nurse, doula, or other
professional.

Must be supportive of Great Starts and our mission. (In our classes,
we teach a broad range of options, from hospital to home birth, from
medical to "natural". We encourage our instructors to provide
unbiased, research-based education.)
Wages: $16 - 28 per hour, based on teaching experience. (Set-up and
clean-up time paid at half that rate)
