Preparing for a New Baby in Your Family?

As you prepare for a new baby, you may feel overwhelmed by all there is to learn. Our classes will ensure that you get the information that you need to get  you started, and we will give you resources for support and information later on.

Baby Safety and Baby Health

We offer classes in baby safety, infant & child CPR, and vaccinations, which can be taken before or after baby's birth. Register Now!

Calming Crying and Helping Baby Sleep

Class: Happiest Baby on the Block teaches simple, effective techniques for soothing your baby. Register now! Full details.

Sibling Preparation

Adoptive Parenting

Classes:

Baby Care for the Adoptive Family. Similar content to newborn care class, but targeted to the needs of adoptive parents: covers how to care for babies up to one year old. Register Now! Full details.

Becoming an Adoptive Family. Covers the social and emotional sides of waiting for a baby, then integrating baby into your family. Register now! Full details.

We also offer one-on-one appointments with Dolly Smith, who can advise you on adapting to your new family, caring for your adopted baby, or breastfeeding your adopted baby.

Newborn Care

Class: Learn all the basics of caring for your baby in the first weeks of life: diapering, cord care, bathing, comforting, bonding, and support resources. This class is included in the Great Starts series, or can be taken on its own. Full details.

Breastfeeding

Class: Learn how to nurse, when to feed, how to know baby is getting plenty of milk, how to prevent and cope with challenges, and info on pumping. Class is included in the series, or can be taken on its own. Full details.
