Planning for Pregnancy, a Holistic Approach

First, learn what you and your partner can do to prepare yourselves physically for pregnancy.  Topics will include charting your menstrual cycle, diet and lifestyle as well as the use of nutritional supplementation in the months before pregnancy.

We will recommend a 4 month "prepregnancy cleanse" for both parents to optimize egg and sperm health and balance the hormones.

Next, we will discuss the pragmatics of choosing a birth attendant and look at the birth locations available to you in Seattle and the surrounding areas.

Bring your preconception, pregnancy and parenting questions!

Planning for Pregnancy will be taught by Tracy McDaniel or Molly Gray, both naturopathic physicians and licensed midwives practicing at Seattle Natural Family Medicine in the Maple Leaf neighborhood of Seattle. They specialize in women’s health and pediatrics.

Class is a single 2-hour session. Classes are held at the Great Starts office.

You may also be interested in Yoga for Fertility classes.

Note: In the past, Great Starts offered a Fertility Awareness class, and a Optimal Health for Preconception class. This class combines information from both those programs.
