This class is designed for
expectant parents in their first five months of pregnancy. People who are planning to conceive are also welcome.
In this three hour class, you will learn about
health and well-being in pregnancy. We’ll cover:

what is normal to feel
& experience in early pregnancy
-
ways to increase your
comfort
-
nutrition for healthy
development
-
prenatal exercise
-
stress reduction
We will briefly overview
options for birth, including care providers, birth place, doulas, and
childbirth education. We will end with a brief look ahead to planning
for life with baby.
This class is offered once every 6 weeks
at the Great Starts office, in the Eastlake neighborhood of Seattle.
About the instructor: Early Pregnancy is taught by
Carrie Kenner. Carrie is a labor support doula and childbirth educator.
She has studied with Childbirth Education Association of Tacoma and
Birthing from Within. Carrie is a doula trainer at Seattle Midwifery
School, and teaches Childbirth Education and Doula trainings at Bastyr
University. She also offers childbirth education classes through Big
Belly Services. She is the mother of three.
